General News: EASYWAY Conference to be held in Italy, 14-16 October 2008

The EASYWAY project is the key implementation programme deploying ITS road technologies. EASYWAY operates in a coordinated way with the full Trans-European Network thanks to policy instructions from the European Commission (DG Energy and Transport) and 21 Member States. EASYWAY is designed to define strategic actions and targets for improving the mobility of European Citizens and identify the set of necessary services to be deployed across Europe; it is designed to become an efficient platform which will allow coordinated and combined deployments of pan-European services.

The first EASYWAY Conference brings together European decision makers, main road stakeholders and Europe-wide experts who will present the current policies, the state-of-the-art achievements and the newest technologies for developing a coherent platform for European Services.
