General News: International workshop on intermodal transport

The EC-funded project PROMIT (Promoting Innovative Intermodal Freight Transport) will hold an international workshop entitled “High Quality Intermodal Terminal Infrastructure and Operation“ on 16th and 17th October 2008 in Lisbon. The main topics to be addressed are intermodal seaports, inland ports, rail/road infrastructure design, operation and service concepts.

Experts from the intermodal transport field will present good practice examples and their experiences related to innovations in intermodal seaports, inland ports, rail and road infrastructure. Good practise on terminal design and planning, terminal technologies and operations will also be presented and discussed.
