Project News: FESTA deliverables online!

Between November 2007 and April 2008, the FESTA project (Field opErational Test Support Action) worked on a “best-practice handbook” to guide the design and implementation of field operational tests (FOTs).

Academic institutes, research laboratories, vehicle manufacturers, system providers and representatives from national road authorities were part of the project consortium.

The main purpose of the handbook is to provide guidelines for the conduction of FOTs. It walks the reader through the whole process of planning, preparing, executing, analysing and reporting a FOT, including information on aspects that are especially relevant for a study of this magnitude, such as administrative, logistic, legal and ethical issues.

The final handbook and all other FESTA deliverables are now available on the FESTA website www.festaproject.eu.
